Mustered in as first lieutenant on May 11, 1864. Discharged for disability on August 8, 1864. Commissioned second lieutenant on October 11, 1862, with rank from September 17, 1862, vice H. McConnell, killed in action. Commissioned first lieutenant on January 30, 1863, with rank from December 16, 1862, vice J. Dwyer, promoted. Again commissioned first lieutenant on May 16, 1864, with rank from April 11, 1864, vice P. Mahar, mustered out.
