References & notes

His service from the Card File.1 His presence at Antietam from research in his widow Bridget's pension file kindly shared by Damian Shiels; Bridget received her US pension in Ireland. His gravesite is on Findagrave.

He married Bridget McGrory (related? c. 1813-1899) in February 1838 in County Donegal, and they had 3 children.

He was one of two men of the same name in Company B. He was listed as "Senior," the other "Junior" probably due to their age difference; they do not appear to have been related.
