His service from the State of New York,1 which says he was absent in a Hagerstown, MD hospital at muster-out in June 1863; as John Vanderburg. Death details from Nelson.2 His gravesite is on Findagrave. He's also seen as Jacob Fraunauburg or Frananburg.
