Wounded in right foot, necessitating amputation of toe, at Fox's Gap on South Mountain on 14 September 1862.
The rest of the War
Sent to Fort Monroe for exchange 10/17/1862. Admitted to Richmond hospital 10/24/1862. Toe amputated. Pension records show he was on detail at Fredericksburg, Virginia, account of wounds, in 1862. Paroled in 1865.
After the War
Died at Confederate Soldiers Home, Atlanta
