He enlisted as a Private in Company B, 50th Georgia Infantry on 4 March 1862 in Waresboro, GA.

On the Campaign

He was left behind, sick, on the march in Maryland in September 1862, and probably died there.

The rest of the War

He was listed as "sick in hospital to February 1863, then as "sick, not known where" to October 1864. The December 1864 Company muster roll says he was "Left sick on the march in September 1862 supposed to have died." There is no later military record.
