On the Campaign

He died of disease at Bakersville, MD on 11 November 1862.

After the War

He was originally buried in Bakersville but was reinterred in the new Antietam National Cemetery in about 1867.

Burial information from the Antietam Cemetery History,1 which has him as Martin Adams in Company C. Nelson2 has him as Eben Adams. Service from the Adjutant General.3 His first name is likely a contraction of Ebenezer. His gravesite is on Findagrave.
