Before Antietam

Age 35, from Butler County, he enlisted as a Private in Company G, 134th Pennsylvania Infantry on 14 August 1862.

On the Campaign

He was admitted to a US Army hospital in Frederick, MD on 4 November but died there of typhoid pneumonia on 18 November 1862.

After the War

He was originally buried in Frederick but was reinterred in the new Antietam National Cemetery in about 1867.
