Age 23, from Antrim, NH, he enlisted on 13 August 1862 and mustered as Private, Company G, 9th New Hampshire Infantry on 18 August.
On the Campaign
He died of disease on South Mountain, MD on 4 October 1862.
After the War
He was reinterred from his original on South Mountain to the new National Cemetery in about 1867.
