Before Antietam

He enlisted at age 20 in Company K, 155th Pennsylvania Infantry on 3 September 1862.

On the Campaign

He arrived on the field with his Division on 18 September 1862 but was admitted to a US Army hospital in Frederick, MD on 10 October with typhoid fever and died there on 7 November 1862.

After the War

He was originally buried in Frederick but was reinterred in the new Antietam National Cemetery in about 1867.
