Before Antietam

Age 32, from Orono, he mustered as Farrier in Company C, 1st Maine Cavalry on 20 October 1861.

On the Campaign

He was listed on the Company morning report for 1 November 1862 as present and counted as fit for duty, but he died of "fever" in Frederick, MD on 10 November 1862.

After the War

He was reinterred from his original burial in Frederick to the National Cemetery in about 1867.
