Ellis Usher Kidder

He probably worked in the music publishing business for Kidder & Wright, in Boston, before moving to New York City by 1860. He enlisted in the 4th New York Infantry on 30 May 1861, at age 40.

He died of dysentery 5 days after the battle of Antietam in Keedysville, MD.
