Before Antietam

Age 36, he enlisted on 30 September 1861 at Fullerville for two years and mustered as Private, Company D, 16th New York Infantry on 8 October.

On the Campaign

He died of disease at Hagerstown, MD on 23 November 1862.

After the War

He was reinterred from his original burial to the new National Cemetery in about 1867.
