Before Antietam

He enlisted at age 40 at Rochester, NY and mustered in as Private, Company F, 108th New York Infantry on 23 July 1862.

On the Campaign

He was admitted to a US Army hospital in Frederick, MD on 26 November for chronic rheumatism but died there on 12 December 1862.

After the War

He was originally buried in Frederick but was reinterred in the new Antietam National Cemetery in about 1867.
