George C. Merrill

He was in Company B.

He was with his Company in Maryland but died, probably of disease, at a hospital in Hagerstown, MD on 4 November 1862.

He was initially buried in a plot near the Alms House in Hagerstown but was reinterred in the new Antietam National Cemetery in about 1867.

Basic information from the Antietam Cemetery History1, which has him as G.C. Merrill. Death details from an article in the Hagerstown Herald of Freedom & Torch Light of 12 November 1862, which lists him as Geo. O. Merril. He's not found in the State Roster for any regiment.
