Drayton Pitts

He enlisted as Private, Company J (later F), 6th Alabama Infantry on 2 (or 6) May 1861 at Crawford, AL. He was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant, date not given.

He was mortally wounded and captured in action at Boonsboro, MD (on South Mountain) on 14 September 1862.

He died of wounds, probably in Frederick, MD.
