Before Sharpsburg

A 30 year old laborer in New Orleans, he enlisted in Company K, 6th Louisiana Infantry on 4 June 1861 at Camp Moore, LA.

On the Campaign

Present on all company rolls to February 1863, probably at Sharpsburg.

The rest of the War

He was wounded in action at Monocacy, MD and admitted to US Army General Hospital at Frederick, MD on 10 July 1864. He had "Gunshot fracture of both bones right leg. Amputated." He died on 16 July. Originally buried "on west side of cemetery at Frederick." Probably reinterred at Hagerstown in about 1874.
