On the Campaign
He was killed in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September.
The rest of the War
He was originally buried "in Col. Miller's woods, west of church along the line fence between Miller and Mrs. Lucker [Locker]" on the battlefield at Sharpsburg and probably reinterred at Hagerstown in about 1874.
