On the Campaign
He was killed in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
Originally buried "around 1st rock brake west of Mrs. Lucker's [Locker] barn" on the battlefield at Sharpsburg. Probably reinterred at Hagerstown in about 1874.
