References & notes
His photograph is found in Voices3 from an original cased CDV owned by Mrs Lucille G Parrish in the Gregory A Coco Collection. His middle name is also found as Gustavous in family genealogical records, source of his birth year. His memorial on Findagrave says he is in the Washington Confederate Cemetery at Rose Hill in Hagerstown, MD. This is possible, but he's not among the named soldiers who were moved there in about 1874.
