Age 27, student from Northboro on enlistment in July 1861. He was in Company C. # 1 Aug 1861 Promoted to Sergeant 1 August 1861, and 2nd Lieutenant 17 January 1862.

On the Campaign

He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

Commissioned Captain 24 October 1862. Wounded again in action at Gettysburg 2-3 July 1863.

After the War

He had studied the law, and by 1900 was living in Oakland, California. In 1920 he was in Santa Barbara.
