Basic information from Commonwealth of Massachusetts1. Age 31, bootmaker from Worcester on enlistment in July 1861. Promoted to 2nd Lieutenant 7 November, 1st Lieutenant on 3 January 1863 (but not mustered at that rank). Wounded 2 July 1863 at Gettysburg, and discharged on disability on 25 September 1863.
