Age 23, a machinist from North Bridgewater on enlistment in June 1861. He was in Company F.
On the Campaign
He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
Promoted Sergeant, then Sergeant-Major on 25 January 1863. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant to date from 21 December 1862, Promoted First Lieutenant 23 July 18673. Wounded again near Spottsylvania, VA 8 May 1864.
