On the Campaign
He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862, while commanding Company D.
The rest of the War
Promoted Captain 29 November 1862, but not mustered at that rank. Resigned 3 October 1863.
After the War
In 1866 he was elected foreman of the "Eureka Engine Co. No. 1" of Hudson, MA.
