Basic information from Commonwealth of Massachusetts1. Age 23, a shoemaker in Stoneham when he wsa commissioned 2nd Lieutenant on 16 July 1861. Promoted First Lieutenant 26 July 1862. Wounded also in action at Fredericksburg, VA on 13 December 1862. Resigned 29 March 1863 as First Lieutenant of Company E.
