He was in USA General Hospital #1 in Frederick, Maryland from 19 September into December 1862. He was captured at Winchester, VA in 1863 and was a prisoner at Fort Delaware by January 1865.

After the War

He was a peddlar after the war and lived in Bibb County, GA.
