He was captured in action on 14 September 1862 on South Mountain.
The rest of the War
He was held at Ft. Delaware and exchanged 11/10/62. Captured also at Sayler's Creek, 4/6/65 and at Pt. Lookout. Oath of Allegiance to U.S., 6/11/65.
After the War
He had been baptized on the Howlett Line, 9/12/64 and, postwar, became Methodist minister.
