His service from the Roster,1 as Elias A. Baldree. Personal details from family genealogists, at least one of whom has him as Allen Elias Baldree.
He married Susan E Vinson (1845-1910) in May 1861 and they had a son Elias born in March 1863.
His brother Arnold was also wounded at Sharpsburg, but survived.
