The regimental strength, field officers, and company commanders in Maryland are from Hagood.1
It's not clear where Major Grimes and Captain Inabinet were when the regiment was in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September: neither officer was mentioned in the succession of regimental command that afternoon, which included officers junior to them.
